Our second campus, the James C. Kennedy Mountain Campus, was opened in 2021. Nestled in the Rocky Mountains less than two hours away, KMC is home to hiking trails, climbing routes, its own Via Ferrata, and so much more.

Spotlight On: The Alpine Club

The university’s longest-running and largest student club, the Alpine Club has been encouraging DU students to explore the great outdoors – right here in our Rocky Mountain backyard — since 1928. Alpine Club members head to the mountains to enjoy downhill and Nordic skiing, ice climbing, dog sledding, hiking, whitewater rafting, and more.
